Growth in Numbers
👧🏻Chloe: Grew 2.5 cm (1") in 3 months, from 4'10" (147 cm) to 4'11" (149.5 cm), after stalling for 2 months following her first period.
⬆ Meet Chloe, the girl behind Eva’s story
A Mom's Perspective
Hi, I’m Eva, mom of two girls. My oldest, Chloe, is now 11. Like many moms, I quietly hoped she’d reach at least 5'3 (160cm). But I never felt any real urgency—until one day, she just stopped growing.
At 10 years and 10 months, Chloe was 4'10 (147cm), already on the shorter side. We had her bone age checked and were told it was 12. That meant she was nearing the end of her growth window. The doctor said she might only gain another 2 to 3 inches, at most. That really shook me.
Looking back, there were clues. Chloe started breast development in April 2023. We saw a doctor in June, and while everything looked fine at the time, so I didn’t follow up. Life got busy, and to be honest, she was growing so fast over the summer, I thought we were doing great. Between June 2023 and August 2024, she shot up from 4'4.8 (134cm) to 4'9 (145cm). I assumed everything was on track.
Then, in July 2024, at just 10 and a half, Chloe got her first period. We took her in for a full workup, and that’s when we got the bone age report: 12 years old. The doctor said her growth plates were maturing quickly. “You’re probably looking at 2–3 more inches,” he said. He offered two options—growth hormone shots or a natural supplement called iKids-Growth. I wasn’t ready for injections, and I wasn’t sure what to make of the supplement.
That summer, I tried a cheaper supplement I found online—two bottles for about $40. But from late August through early October, Chloe didn’t grow at all. She held steady at 4'10 (147cm), and I felt like we were wasting precious time.
Through a local parent group, I found a pediatrician who had experience with early puberty and growth issues. She reviewed Chloe’s scans and also mentioned iKids-Growth as a safe option worth considering. That was the second time a medical professional had recommended the same product. With time slipping away and nothing else helping, I finally decided to go for it.
We started iKids-Growth in early October. I measured Chloe consistently—same wall, same tape, same person (me). By November, I noticed progress. And by January, she had grown to 4'11 (149.5cm). That’s a full inch (2.5cm) in just three months. Even better, her latest bone age scan showed normal development. No signs of premature closure, which had been my biggest fear.
⬆ Bone age X-rays show advanced maturation in August 2024 (left), with follow-up in February 2025 (right) indicating no further acceleration.
We also made lifestyle changes—less pressure around homework, more time outside. She jumps rope in the evenings, usually 600 to 800 times, and mixes in jumping jacks or high knees for variety.
With my younger daughter now six, I’m much more proactive about tracking growth. I didn’t pay close enough attention with Chloe until it almost felt too late. If I’d waited any longer, we might have missed the window. Thankfully, she still has more than a year of growth ahead. And now, with iKids-Growth, I truly believe she has a shot at reaching our goal of 5'3 (160cm).
