Real Mom Story: How My Son Finally Made It to the Taller Half

Growth in Numbers

👦🏻Noah: Grew 9.5 cm (3.7") in 9 months, from 5'0" (152.5 cm) to 5'3.8" (162 cm), jumping from the 35th to the 53rd percentile.

A Mom's Perspective

Noah was never what you'd call short. Every checkup, the pediatrician said he was "within the normal range." His height percentile floated between 20th and 35th, technically fine, but always just behind most of the boys in his grade. And as a mom, that quiet gap gnawed at me.

It’s a strange place to be—your kid isn’t the smallest in the class, but he was always one of the smaller boys. At soccer practice, he looked a little undersized. In group photos, he was still in the second row, while his friends had already started stretching out. I wasn’t panicking, but I couldn’t help feeling that he was falling a little behind—and staying there.

We started iKids-Growth last January. Each family gets a dedicated Growth Coach—someone who checks in monthly, explains the numbers, and helps you stay the course. Ours emphasized consistency and long-term tracking, and that actually gave me some peace of mind. If we were going to invest in something, I wanted to do it right.

Growth wasn’t some overnight thing. Some months Noah gained more, others less—but it added up. On average, he grew about a centimeter a month. With every check-in, our Growth Coach kept us on track—physically and emotionally.

In January, Noah was 152.5cm (about 60 inches), sitting at the 35th percentile for his age. By June, he was 158.2cm (62.3 inches) and up to the 43rd percentile. In November, he hit 162cm (63.8 inches)—the 52.9th percentile. For the first time ever, he had finally reached the median for his age group.

Even more encouraging: his predicted adult height, based on clinical assessments, jumped from 5'7" (170.3 cm) to 5'8.2" (173.2 cm). It’s still a few inches shy of his dad’s height (over 180cm), but we’re finally trending in the right direction.

We also tracked his IGF-1 levels (a marker of growth activity). In January, he was at 222 µg/L—low for puberty. After six months on iKids-Growth, it climbed to 440 µg/L. That nearly twofold increase lined up with what we saw in his growth rate.

One thing I worried about early on was whether boosting growth would speed up his bone age too much, especially during puberty. I didn’t want to “use up” his growth window too fast. But after six months, his bone age had only advanced by 0.5 years—right where it should be. That told me the supplement was supporting natural growth, not rushing it.

I won’t lie—iKids-Growth isn’t cheap, and it takes commitment. Noah takes it twice a day. We’re mindful of his diet, his sleep, his activity. But it’s worth it. He feels stronger. He’s more confident. He’s not the last picked anymore. He’s proud of his progress—and he reminds me to order refills now. This isn’t just my effort anymore. It’s his, too.

If your child isn’t technically “short” but always a little behind, I get how easy it is to feel stuck. Everyone says not to worry, but of course you do. iKids-Growth gave us something to lean on—not an instant solution, but a clear path. And nine months in, I can finally say: we’re not just growing, we’re catching up.
